N-(3-Acetyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)acetamide - Introduction
N-acetamide(N-acetamide) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H11NO3.
Nature:
N-(acetamide) is a white or light yellow crystal with crystallinity, soluble in alcohol, ether and acid, but hardly soluble in water. It has a certain acidity in the solution.
Use:
In the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, N-(a) acetamide is often used as an intermediate for the synthesis and production of other organic compounds. It can also be used as a raw material for some drugs, such as anti-inflammatory and antipyretic drugs. In addition, it can also be applied to the preparation of dyes, pigments and photosensitive materials.
Preparation Method:
N-(Br) acetamide can be obtained by the reaction of phenol and acetic anhydride. The specific preparation method is as follows:
1. the reaction of phenol with sodium hydroxide solution to generate sodium phenolate.
2. Add sodium phenolate and acetic anhydride slowly, and control the reaction temperature at 50-60 degrees Celsius.
3. After the reaction, the solid product was filtered and washed, and then purified by crystallization.
Safety Information:
N-acetamide is not included in the international list of hazardous substances, but chemical safety procedures need to be followed during use and storage. Avoid contact with strong oxidants and strong acids, and avoid inhalation, ingestion and skin contact. Appropriate protective measures such as goggles, protective clothing and gloves should be worn during use. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical help.
