production method 1. Anhydrous magnesium bromide can be prepared by reacting bromine and magnesium tablets in anhydrous ether. A 500ml two-necked flask was filled with 150ml of freshly distilled anhydrous diethyl ether and 10g of smooth magnesium chip, and magnetic stirring was carried out with a polytetrafluoroethylene stirrer. The gas outlet of the flask was connected to a CaCl2 drying tube to isolate moisture from the outside. The flask was placed in an ice-water bath to absorb the large amount of heat released by the reaction. 15ml of pure bromine was added to the wash flask, heated to 50-55 °c, and bromine vapor was carried through the bottom of the flask with a flow of 5ml of dry nitrogen per minute. After complete evaporation of bromine, the reaction was stopped. The whole reaction solution in the flask was transferred to a dry flask, and cooled to 0 ° C. Or lower, and triethylether magnesium bromide crystals were precipitated. Discard the mother liquor, add anhydrous benzene to the crystal and let it stand at room temperature. Benzene and diethyl ether form a mixture of diethyl ether and benzene, and cool it again to below 0 ℃, after Suction filtration and washing with benzene at 0 °c, the impurities remained in the above mixture and the ether was removed by suction with a water pump. The temperature is increased to 150-175 ° C. The yield was 60%-70% and the purity was 99.3%-99.5%. Without the purification of benzene, the purity is only 90% ~ 95%. 2. Dehydration with hexahydrate of magnesium bromide in a stream of HBr gas. MgCl2 was first converted to Mg(OH)2 with aqueous ammonia. The magnesium hydroxide was suspended in water and dissolved by passing HBr gas. The solution was concentrated, the resulting salt was recrystallized, dried and dehydrated in An HBr stream, and the stained HBr was removed by heating in a stream of dry nitrogen to obtain anhydrous magnesium bromide. The above operations need to be performed in a quartz vessel (grinding mouth device). 3. To a mixture of 60 ml of anhydrous diethyl ether and 30 ml of dry benzene was added 0.3g of magnesium powder (0.012g atoms) followed by 2.16g of mercury bromide (0.006 mol). The mixture was refluxed for 2 H, filtered and immediately used for the next reaction.
