-Stability: stable, not easy to decompose
Use:
-As a catalyst: This compound is commonly used as a catalyst for polymer materials, such as the synthesis of polyamides, polyesters, and polycarbonates.
-As a chelating agent: Due to its good solubility in organic solvents and high affinity for metal ions, it can be used as a chelating agent for metal ions.
-As a surfactant: Because it contains a hydrophobic carbon chain and a hydrophilic amine group, it can be used to prepare surfactants, such as synthetic detergents and emulsifiers.
Preparation Method:
(1S,2S)-N,N'-bis(3,3-dimethylbutyl)-N,N'-dimethylcyclohexane-1,2-diamine can be synthesized by the following steps:
1.3,3-Dimethylbutane was reacted with ethyl sulfite to obtain 3,3-dimethylbutane sulfite.
2. The 3,3-dimethylbutane sulfite is converted to 3,3-dimethylbutane diol by a hydrolysis reaction.
3. The condensation reaction of 3,3-dimethylbutanediol and cyclohexanone gives (1S,2S)-N,N'-bis(3,3-dimethylbutyl)-N,N'-dimethylcyclohexane-1,2-diamine.
Safety Information:
-This compound is a low-toxic chemical, but care should be taken to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
