6274-22-2 - Introduction
Benzamide, 4-amino-N-methyl- (9CI), also known as Benzamide, 4-amino-N-methyl- (9CI), is an organic compound. Its molecular formula is C8H10N2O and its molecular weight is 150.18.
Nature:
Benzamide, 4-amino-N-methyl- (9CI) is a white crystalline solid with a distinctive benzamide odor. It is soluble in alcohols, ethers and chlorinated hydrocarbons at room temperature, and slightly soluble in water.
Use:
Benzamide, 4-amino-N-methyl- (9CI) is an important organic synthesis intermediate, widely used in pharmaceutical, dye and pesticide fields. It can be used in the synthesis of chloroacetic acid, chlorfenuidine and other drugs.
Preparation Method:
Benzamide, 4-amino-N-methyl- (9CI) can be obtained by reacting benzoyl chloride with toluidine. First, benzoyl chloride is added in a suitable solvent, and then toluidine is added slowly. During the reaction, the reaction is stirred at room temperature to generate tetraamino-N-methylbenzamide. The desired product is finally obtained by crystallization and drying.
Safety Information:
Benzamide, the toxicity of 4-amino-N-methyll- (9CI) is low, but we still need to pay attention to protective measures. Avoid direct contact with skin and inhalation of dust during operation. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. In addition, it should be stored in a dry, cool place and separate from oxidants and strong acids.
