4-Methoxy-4'-methyldiphenylamine - Introduction
4-methoxy-N-4-tolylaniline is an organic compound with the chemical formula C14H15NO. It is a translucent liquid with a special smell.
This compound is often used as a dye intermediate and has a wide range of applications in the dye industry. It can be used as raw materials and intermediates of nitrogen-containing dyes, brominated azo dyes and azoimine dyes. Its methyl and tolyl groups give the dye good solubility and stability, so that it can be widely used in fiber dyeing and ink.
4-methoxy-N-4-tolylaniline can be prepared by nitrosation reaction and condensation reaction. First, 4-tolylaniline was nitrosated to 4-methothy-N-4-tolylaniline nitrosation by nitrosation reaction, and then the target product was obtained by condensation reaction with methyl bromide or methylating agent.
