preparation | 70.0g(302mmol)p-terphenyl, 2g(35mmol) iron powder and 750mL acetonitrile were added to a single-mouth round bottom reaction flask, and 430g(2625mol) of liquid bromine was added dropwise through a dripping funnel under an ice water bath.
