1033810-11-5 - Introduction
4-(4-Benzoxazolyl)-3-chloroaniline, also known as PCBA, has the following properties:
1. Appearance and state: white to light yellow crystalline solid.
2. solubility: PCBA soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform, dimethyl sulfoxide and chlorobenzene, insoluble in water.
3. melting point: about 83-86 ℃.
4. chemical properties: as benzoxazole compounds, PCBA has strong electron affinity and oxidation.
The main uses of PCBA are as follows:
1. As a pesticide intermediate: PCBA is an important intermediate for the synthesis of benzoxazole pesticides, and is involved in the synthesis of a variety of pesticides and herbicides.
2. As a dye intermediate: PCBA can be used to synthesize various dyes, especially dyes with luminescent properties.
The preparation of PCBA is generally synthesized by the following steps:
1. First, 4-benzoxazole carboxylic acid reacts with zinc powder in hot acetic acid to obtain the corresponding 4-benzoxazole methanol.
2. Then, 4-benzoxazole methanol and 3-chloroaniline were reacted by Vilsmeier-Haack reaction to obtain PCBA product.
3. Finally, pure PCBA was obtained by crystallization, filtration and drying steps.
For PCBA security information, note the following:
1. PCBA is an organic compound with certain toxicity. It is necessary to wear protective gloves, goggles and protective work clothes during operation.
2. avoid PCBA contact with skin, eyes and clothing, and avoid inhalation of its dust or solution vapor.
3. During use, operate in a well-ventilated area and avoid contact with fire and high temperature.
4. Waste shall be disposed of safely in accordance with local regulations.
