Application | 1-phenyl-2-pyrrolidone is a pyrrolidone compound, as an important class of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic frameworks, pyrrolidones exist widely in natural products. Many natural products and synthetic compounds containing pyrrolidone structural units have strong biological activity and excellent luminescent properties, which play an important role in the research and development of new drugs and optoelectronic materials. |
preparation | N-phenylcyclohexylamine (0.5mmol,81mg) and acetonitrile (5ml) were sequentially added to a 10ml Shrek tube. Anhydrous copper acetate (1mmol,181mg), potassium iodide (1mmol,166mg) and potassium persulfate complex salt (Oxone,615mg,1mmol), vacuum filled with oxygen (1atm) the reaction was then stirred for 12H in an oil bath at 80 °c. Then, 10ml of saturated brine was added to quench the reaction, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (10ml × 3). The Organic phases were combined and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. Filtration, spin-drying, silica gel column separation (petroleum ether/ethyl acetate = 3/1) to give a white solid product 1-phenyl-2-pyrrolidone (47mg,58%). |
