introduction | 1, 2-dihydroxynaphthalene is an aromatic hydrocarbon derivative, which can be obtained by reduction of 1, 2-naphthoquinone. |
Uses | 1,2-dihydroxynaphthalene is an organic intermediate. There are reports that it can be used to prepare 1, 2-bis (2, 6-dinitro-4-trifluoromethylphenoxy) naphthalene. 1, 2-bis (2, 6-dinitro-4-trifluoromethylphenoxy) naphthalene is one of the important raw materials for the synthesis of highly branched aromatic polyimide monomers, namely aromatic polyamine An important raw material. |
preparation | 1, 2-naphthoquinone (0.18 mmol) was dissolved in ethanol (3 mL). NaBH4 (73 mg, 1.93 mmol) suspended in ethanol (3 mL) was added dropwise to the reaction mixture. Stir the mixture under nitrogen at room temperature. After 1.5 hours, pour the mixture into ice water (50 mL). Acidify the mixture with HCl (0.5 M) . The mixture was extracted with CH2Cl2. Dry the mixture with magnesium sulfate. Concentrate the mixture to give 1, 2-dihydroxynaphthalene. |
