(E)-α-Methylstilbene - Introduction
trans-alpha-methylstilbene(trans-alpha-methylstilbene) is an organic compound with a chemical formula of C16H14 and a molecular weight of 206.28. It is a colorless crystalline solid.
trans-alpha-methylstilbene is an optically active compound and can exist in two isomers, namely (E) type and (Z) type. It is mainly used as an optically active compound in research and application fields. It has high fluorescence efficiency and thermal stability.
trans-alpha-methylstilbene can be used for asymmetric synthesis reactions in organic synthesis and the preparation of optical sensors. It is also useful as a dye intermediate and as a fluorescent labeling reagent.
