| application | (2, 2-dichlorocyclopropyl) benzene is an organic intermediate that can be prepared from styrene in one step. (2, 2-dichlorocyclopropyl) benzene can be used to prepare cyprofibrate. (2, 2-dichlorocyclopropyl) benzene is obtained by Friedel-Crafts acylation, Baeyer-Villiger oxidation, alcoholysis, alkylation and hydrolysis. Cyprofibrate is a phenoxyacetic acid hypolipidemic drug, the chemical name is 2-[4-(2, 2-dichlorocyclopropyl) benzene oxygen]-2-methylpropionic acid, developed by the French Synthelabo company, clinically used for type II and type IV hyperlipoproteinemia that cannot be controlled by diet therapy. |
| preparation | 30g styrene, 30ml dichloromethane, 43.5g chloroform and 1.2g TEBA (benzyltriethylammonium chloride) were added to a 250ml four-mouth flask. Heat up to reflux, drop alkali (28.5g NaOH 28.5ml water), reflux reaction for 8 hours. Cool to room temperature, add 60ml of water, stir for 10 minutes, let stand and delaminate, the water layer is extracted with petroleum ether, the organic layer is combined, anhydrous sodium sulfate is dried, filtered, the filtrate is distilled with an oil pump in high vacuum, slowly heated, until the distillate is stable, and the temperature is controlled to be about 95~100 ℃ for distillation to obtain colorless liquid. Yield: 88.6%;HPLC purity: 99.2%. |
